Afghan Girls Education
In Afghanistan, the Taliban government has banned girls and women from attending school and university. This means that girls above the age of 12 are not allowed to go to school, and women cannot attend college or university. This decision has stopped millions of girls and women from getting an education.
Before the Taliban took control in 2021, girls and women in Afghanistan could go to school, study, and work. Many women were teachers, doctors, engineers, and held other important jobs. But now, they are forced to stay at home, and their dreams of learning and working are being taken away.

The Taliban says this ban is based on their strict interpretation of Islamic law, but many people around the world, including Muslim leaders, disagree. They believe Islam encourages education for everyone, both men and women.
This ban is hurting Afghanistan’s future. Without education, women cannot contribute to society, and the country will struggle to grow and develop. Many families are sad and worried because they want their daughters to have a better life through education.
People around the world are speaking out against this ban, asking the Taliban to let girls and women learn again. Education is a basic human right, and everyone deserves the chance to go to school and build a better future.
